The Board Room
The Library’s Board Room accommodates 12 guests for small
meetings and teleconferences. The facility offers a large conference
table with comfortable leather chairs and a full range of high
tech audiovisual equipment.
The Hi-Tech Training Room
The Hi-Tech Training Room is a multimedia
learning environment designed to provide training in computer
applications and in the use of electronic resources. The room
accommodates hands-on training for a maximum of 27 participants and
one instructor. The room is setup in an amphitheater-like arrangement
with tiered rows of comfortable computer training stations.
The Skyline Room and the Skyline Terrace
The Skyline Room offers a skyline view of Cerritos overlooking
the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, while the interior
atrium provides a dramatic view of the Library’s first
two floors. The room can host events of 216 guests audience style
or up to 136 guests for a sit-down banquet. The room can be divided
into two separate spaces, each accommodating a different meeting.
In addition, a platform is available for speakers and performers
at one end of the room. The room’s audiovisual systems
provide state-of the-art equipment. In both sections, a ceiling-mounted
projector can project images on a screen that can be lowered
from the ceiling. Access to the outside Terrace offers a tranquil
tree-top view of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts
and Cerritos Towne Center. An adjacent warming kitchen is also
available for caterers.
Alcohol Use and Guidelines
The use of alcohol is only permitted after normal
Library operating hours and requires, prior approval, additional
insurance, deposits and required Cerritos Sheriff’s Station
personnel. Alcohol use refers to any beverage that contains alcohol.
The City reserves the right to place restrictions on the use
of alcoholic beverages in accordance with State Law and City
Ordinances. Failure to comply with any regulations will result
in immediate revocation of permission to use alcohol. Any applicant
permitted to serve alcoholic beverages will be required to pay
an additional, but refundable, deposit. Applicant must also purchase
alcohol insurance in addition to the liability insurance already
required. Any function where alcohol is to be served will require
a minimum of one uniformed Sheriff’s deputy at a rate equal
to their actual cost plus benefits per hour. At the discretion
of the Library Supervisor, any group of any size may be required
to have one or more uniformed Sheriff’s deputies present.
Decoration/Setup/Cleanup
Event setup and cleanup must be completed within the approved
reservation time. Decorating material must be approved in advance
by Library Staff. The use of candles, glitter, confetti, bubbles
and red punch is prohibited.
