The theme this summer for all readers is “Reading is for Champions!” This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Cerritos Library which will provide book prizes and other incentives to encourage everyone to enjoy reading during the summer. For more information, please call (562) 916-1343.

Children’s Summer Reading Program
for Ages 0 -11 years

To be eligible for book prizes and other incentives children must read at least 30 minutes a day.

Young Adult Summer Reading Program
for Ages 12 - 17 years

Adult Reading Program
for Ages 18 years and Older

To be eligible for book prizes and other incentives adult and young adult readers must complete four books, either fiction or non-fiction in any language.

Please bring your valid Cerritos Library card when registering for the Summer Reading Program.

CERRITOS RESIDENT EVENT REGISTRATION starts Monday, July 1 at 10 am, through eConnect at www.cerritos.us/library, or in person at the Reservation Desk. Phone registration starts Tuesday, July 2 at 10 am - call (562) 916-1388.

NON-RESIDENT EVENT REGISTRATION starts Monday, July 8 at 1 pm, on-line through eConnect, in person or by phone.

To register for these programs, patrons must be in the City’s class registration database
and have obtained a client barcode and PIN number.
